Right now the world is very dependent of non renewable energy, it forms the backbone of our energy production. Non renewable sources of energy are versatile, cheap and compatible for the worlds energy needs. However, the cost at which they are reliable is too high. The use of non renewable sources of energy such as fossil fuels is the driving factor of global warming and climate change, a consequence of the industrial revolution and the developments of factories and machinery. Global warming and climate change has dramatic and harmful effects on the environment. That is why it is important to move towards renewable technologies, but that is easier said than done. Renewable means of energy production are not yet efficient enough nor versatile enough to catch up with the worlds energy needs. That is why, until new and better renewable technologies have been invented, a new method of an energy mix, wherein both renewable and non renewable energies are used is trending until more sustainable means can be produced. This is an important break through as it helps give some time to discover new renewable technologies, as well as cut down of non renewable energy and-their harmful effects. The country of Norway has been seen to implement this method.
Modern life is heavily reliant upon our use of energy, to heat houses, power - forms of transport, help industries work and produce food and clothes.
In Norway, 98 percent of the electricity production come from renewable energy sources.
Hydropower is the main source of energy production.
However along with hydropower, norway also uses
Energy mix - The range of energy sources of a region or country, both renewable and non- renewable.
To meet increasing global energy demands and reduce environmental impact, countries around the world will need to combine renewable and non-renewable energy sources, ENERGY MIX
